If you yearn to escape to Tuscany but don't have time to get away, then this is the site for you. Weekend a Firenze (Web address: http://www.waf.it/mall) has thrown together a collection of shops, tourist information, ticketing and browsing that's more than a sopping experience. Visit the mall for a selection of high-value goods such as olive oil, wines, ties and jewelry. They all have their own shops but pick up a shopping basket and you can browse from shop to shop, paying only when you leave.
Stendhal's Florence, With E-Mail and Pucci
May 20, 2001 Travel
By DAISANN McLANE
Before leaving for Italy, forewarned by friends and guidebooks, I'd made a reservation at the Uffizi. You can do this most cheaply by telephone - it's a $1.50 fee on top of the normal $7 - but I decided to do it through an agency I found online, www.weekendafirenze.com, which charges a $5 commission, opting for the convenience of e-mail over busy signals and a pricey overseas phone call. Much to my delight, the Internet agency sent my confirmation promptly, with a chit for a free cappuccino in a cafe near the Uffizi.

Globalization Challenges CRM Data Effectiveness
By: Richard Cross
Practicing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) on a global scale demands the ability to apply theory with systems that reflects local cultures, local attitudes, and the real needs of individual customers in each market.
Visiting a globally-oriented Web site will erase any personal doubt one might have about such a worldview. For example, visit www.waf.it, and one can have Tuscan glassware delivered direct from the manufacturer in Italy within 36 hours.
